Making Good Season 6 Preview
Making Good is back with a brand new season! Catch the premiere of Making Good season six on Sunday, June 9, 2024, on BYUtv.
Here’s a special sneak peek at all the incredible organizations Kirby will meet this season:
Pepperell Community Arts is dedicated to offering cost-effective, top-notch performing arts programs in Pepperell, Massachusetts. Their mission focuses on inclusivity as they educate, inspire, and give back to the community. Kirby joins Pepperell Community Arts for an exciting production of Newsies to kick off the first episode of season six.
Since 2006, River Discovery has been providing outdoor experiences for cancer survivors to foster healing and enhance overall well-being of the mind, body, and spirit. Kirby will travel to Idaho to brave the rapids with the River Discovery team and an inspiring group of cancer survivors.
Hope Renovations has a mission to build futures and transform lives by equipping underemployed women for construction careers through a pre-apprenticeship training program in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The team, led by founder Nora El-Khouri Spencer, welcomes Kirby to help with a unique home renovation project.
At Laughing Bear Bakery in St. Louis, founder Kalen McAllister heads a non-profit work skills program that helps ex-offenders reintegrate into society. At Laughing Bear, participants receive hands-on training in a commercial kitchen, learning to create a wide array of delicious treats for the bakery to sell across the metropolitan St. Louis area. Kirby joins the bakery to complete a special order for the community.
Couple Quilen and Hannah moved to the inner city of Chicago to lay the foundation for Southside Blooms, a non-profit farm-to-vase florist that creates jobs for vulnerable youth. Kirby joins the Southside Blooms team this season to help them pull off their biggest wedding event to date.
Kirby returns to California to help Peace of Mind Dog Rescue, a resource and advocate for senior dogs and senior people, for a special adoption event. POMDR arranges foster and forever homes for dogs whose guardians can no longer care for them, as well as for senior dogs in shelters, and also provides volunteer and financial support so seniors can keep their pets as long as possible.
Kirby will test his Jiu Jitsu skills with the Need To Believe Foundation, a martial arts gym committed to making a positive impact through martial arts to promote inclusion, awareness, and empowerment to those with special needs, all without imposing any financial strain on the families they support.
With respect and gratitude to their service and sacrifice, Utah Honor Flight’s mission is to enable veterans to visit the war memorials built in their honor. Kirby will join Utah Honor Flight for a touching journey to Washington, DC, alongside a remarkable group of WWII veterans.
The C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation enriches the lives of children with special needs, supports their families, and strengthens communities through the sport of fishing. Kirby travels to Texas to attempt to sell himself as a pro fisherman, and gets paired up with a kid for a day of fish wrangling.
Free Guitars 4 Kids strongly advocates that music is one of life’s greatest gifts, and believes every child should have the chance to play, compose, or perform music. By organizing guitar giveaways nationwide, including a special giveaway in Austin, Texas with Kirby, FG4K aims to provide this opportunity to as many children as possible.
Mark your calendars and tune in to Making Good season six, premiering June 9 on BYUtv at 6pm MT.
