Making Good Special Recap: RODS Heroes

TV

In this special international episode of Making Good, Kirby travels to Armenia, shining a light on children with Down syndrome and the incredible mission of helping them find their forever families across the world.

Starting out in Utah with the RODS Heroes team, Kirby learns how to throw the perfect first pitch from Cooper Murray, and hears from Coop’s father, RODS Heroes founder Brady, as well as local families whose lives have been transformed by adopting children with Down syndrome.

After officially getting the invite to join the RODS Heroes team in Armenia, Kirby embarks on an inspiring adventure to connect with children, families, and communities around the world.

From the moment Kirby arrives in Armenia, he’s welcomed with open arms and rich tradition.

Kirby visits the Aregak Bakery & Café, the first inclusive bakery in Armenia, where people of all abilities work side by side, embodying the spirit of acceptance and opportunity that defines this episode.

Kirby also helps the RODS Heroes team with the Shine Their Light Event, a community walk uniting people in celebration of love, inclusion, and hope.

The team visits a local orphanage, where laughter, dance, and play create powerful moments of connection that transcend language and difference. He helps out the RODS Heroes team with a special project, painting the orphanage’s floors in bright, vibrant colors to help children with visual impairments better distinguish each level.

The episode follows different families as they speak their truth, find their missing pieces, and expand their families, creating powerful stories of hope and love. Immersed in Armenian food, music, and tradition, Kirby experiences firsthand how kindness bridges cultures.
